株式会社 AppReply (the “Operator”) handles user information in the iOS application “Jigsaw Puzzle Maker” (the “App”) as described below.

1.Scope

This Policy applies to information handled in connection with the use of the App. External websites and services are governed by the privacy policies of their respective providers.

2.Information We Handle

2.1Photos, Puzzle Data, and Settings

The App uses photos selected by the user from their photo library, photos selected for the daily feature, images taken with the camera, or images included with the App to create and display jigsaw puzzles.

To display photo lists, identify photos that have not yet been used to create puzzles, select photos for the daily feature, and display achievement status, the App accesses photo identifiers, creation dates, dimensions, and the number of accessible photos within the scope permitted by the user.

The following information is generally stored on the user’s device:

  • Images selected or captured by the user, processed images, previews, and thumbnails
  • Puzzle names; creation, update, and completion dates and times; piece counts; progress; and board data
  • Information that identifies photos in the photo library
  • Information relating to the gallery, hints, advertisement display counts, and App settings
  • Consent status and the date and time of consent to the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy

The App does not send these photos, processed images, thumbnails, puzzle names, or photo library identifiers to the Operator’s own servers, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or Google AdMob. Apple services may be used to retrieve photos from iCloud Photos or for device backups enabled by the user.

2.2Usage Data

If ad removal is not active, the App may use Firebase Analytics to collect the following information, depending on the user’s settings and applicable consent status:

  • Usage of the App, including launches, screen views, features, hints, advertisements, the gallery, and purchase screens
  • The category of the source used to create a puzzle, piece count, progress rate, and play time
  • The category of purchased features, purchase results, purchase amount, and currency
  • The location and classification of errors
  • App version, operating system, device type, language, approximate location, and installation identifier

Photos, processed images, puzzle names, photo library identifiers, names, email addresses, and individual user IDs are not sent as usage data.

Users can stop future collection through “Share Usage Data” in the App’s Settings. If ad removal is active, the App does not collect usage data through Firebase Analytics. Data already sent may not be immediately deletable on a per-device or per-installation basis.

2.3Crash and Diagnostic Data

“Share Crash and Diagnostic Data” is disabled by default. Only if the user enables it in the App’s Settings may the App use Firebase Crashlytics to collect the following information:

  • Crashes, non-fatal errors, and stack traces
  • App version, operating system, device, date and time of occurrence, and installation identifier
  • Classification information such as the feature and processing stage in which the issue occurred, puzzle type, and piece count

Photos, processed images, puzzle names, photo library identifiers, and puzzle record identifiers are not sent.

Changes to this setting take effect the next time the App is launched. When the setting is disabled, unsent reports on the device are deleted, and future collection and transmission stop. Data already sent may not be immediately deletable on a per-device or per-installation basis.

2.4Advertising Information

If ad removal is not active, the App uses Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform for advertising delivery and management of advertising consent. These services may handle IP addresses, approximate location, device or installation identifiers, operating system, device model, language, App version, advertisement impressions, views, clicks, and rewards, App interactions, diagnostic information, and advertising consent choices.

The App does not use the IDFA and does not display an App Tracking Transparency permission request. The App also does not use personalized advertising, remarketing, or Publisher first-party ID.

In regions where advertising privacy settings must be changeable, users can review or change their consent choices from the App’s Settings. If the App is launched while ad removal is active, after confirming the user’s purchase entitlement, the App does not update consent information through Google User Messaging Platform, initialize the Google Mobile Ads SDK, or request advertisements.

2.5In-App Purchases

In-app purchases are processed through Apple’s StoreKit and the App Store. The App verifies the purchased product, purchase result, and active purchase entitlements. The Operator does not directly obtain credit card numbers or bank account information.

If ad removal is not active and usage data sharing is enabled, the App may send to Firebase Analytics the category of the feature involved in a purchase or restoration, the type of action, the result, the purchase amount, and the currency.

2.6Support Information

If a user contacts the Operator by email, the Operator obtains the user’s email address, the content of the inquiry, the support history, and any information voluntarily provided by the user. The App version and build number, iOS version, device model, and display language are automatically entered into the support email. Users can edit or delete this information before sending the email.

Photos, puzzle names, saved record identifiers, and logs are not attached automatically. If necessary for an investigation, the Operator may explain the purpose and required scope and ask the user to voluntarily provide screenshots, diagnostic information, or similar materials.

3.Purposes of Use

The Operator uses the information it handles for the following purposes:

  1. To provide the App, perform save and restore functions, and retain settings
  2. To verify and apply purchase entitlements
  3. To deliver advertisements, manage consent, and prevent unauthorized use
  4. To analyze usage and improve the service
  5. To investigate crashes and defects
  6. To respond to inquiries
  7. To comply with legal obligations and protect the Operator’s rights

4.Transmission to External Services

The App uses the following external services:

  • Google AdMob, Google User Messaging Platform, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics: advertising delivery and consent management, usage analysis, and defect investigation
  • Apple App Store, StoreKit, Photos, and iCloud: App distribution, purchase processing, photo loading, and backups enabled by the user

Information collected by these services may be processed or stored outside Japan.

5.Disclosure to Third Parties

The Operator does not provide personal data to third parties, except with the user’s consent, when outsourcing operations necessary to operate the App, when required by law, when necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, or in connection with a business succession. The Operator does not sell user information.

6.Retention Periods and Deletion

  • Puzzles in progress: until deleted within the App or until the App is deleted
  • Completed puzzles, related images, and settings: until the App is deleted, except for information that can be individually deleted or reset within the App
  • Firebase Analytics user-level and event-level data: generally two months
  • Firebase Crashlytics data: generally retained for 90 days, after which the deletion process begins
  • Support information: one year after support is completed; however, if required by law or for handling a dispute, it will be retained for the necessary period
  • Advertising-related data: for the periods specified by Google and its advertising partners

Using “Remove from Display” for a completed work does not delete its data. To delete all data stored on the device, delete the App. The Operator cannot remotely delete or restore data stored only on the device.

7.User Controls

Users can manage the handling of information in the following ways:

  • Change access to photos and the camera in iOS Settings
  • Disable usage data sharing in the App’s Settings
  • Disable crash and diagnostic data sharing in the App’s Settings
  • If displayed, change advertising consent choices through “Advertising Privacy Settings” in the App
  • Delete puzzles in progress within the App
  • Delete the App to delete all data stored on the device

Information managed by Apple, such as App Store purchase history, cannot be deleted from the App.

8.Security Measures

The Operator takes necessary and appropriate security measures, including limiting the information handled to what is necessary, encrypting communications with external services, and limiting access to administration consoles to authorized personnel who require access.

9.Use by Minors

Minors must obtain the consent of a parent, guardian, or other legal representative before using the App. The App is not intended for the Kids Category.

10.Requests for Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, and Other Actions

In accordance with applicable laws, users may request disclosure, correction, deletion, suspension of use, or other actions regarding their personal information held by the Operator. Contact the support address and describe the requested action. No fee is charged.

The App does not require account registration, and the Operator may be unable to associate usage data or advertising data with a specific user. The Operator also cannot remotely disclose or delete data stored only on the user’s device.

For support information and other information that can be associated with the requesting user, the Operator conducts the minimum necessary identity verification, generally by confirming a reply sent to the email address used for the request. As a general rule, the Operator will provide acknowledgment or instructions regarding identity verification within three business days after receiving the request and will respond with the result by email within 30 days after identity verification is completed.

11.Changes to This Policy

The Operator may change this Policy in response to changes in laws, the service, or external services. If a material change is made, the Operator will provide notice in the App and request consent again.
